Survival

Over the last two days my classmates and I crashed in the God-forsaken land of...Canada. We were able to rummage through the aircraft's debris and find many useful materials like a ball of steel wool and some extra clothes. We had many debates on what items were the best and most useful to us, due to our amazing survival strategy we are still alive and blogging about it....
Our group would have survived decently well, we realized the importance of the lighter and the ball of steel wool (placing them 1st and 2nd, like the expert). However, we did not realize the importance of the Crisco, putting it much farther down the list (at 10th, unlike the experts  ranking of 4th). Our overall comparison as a group gave us the average difference of 2.36.
Personally, I would have survived well also, however not as well as if I were to be with my group. This is because my average difference was 2.55. For the most part my rankings were the same as my groups, but what really hurt me was the placement of the map and compass (5th and 6th compared to 11th and 10th). I did this because my focus was more towards getting to the town as soon as possible rather than surviving as long as possible. A 20-mile walk is a single days walk, as long as a keep warm.
